The Home Ministry has also received a recommendation from the UP government to ban this organization. In such a situation, PFI can become a banned organization in the next few times. The government is now openly speaking about the role of PFI in violence in UP. However, Zafaryab Jilani, convener of Babri Masjid Action Committee, has supported the PFI as a social organization.

On the question of the ban on behalf of the government, Jilani said that how can anyone be offended by just saying, if there is evidence then the government should present it. Jilani said that if the ban is imposed then the PFI will go to court. On whether Jilani will contest the case of PFI, he said that if the people of PFI come to him as a lawyer, then they will surely fight in defense of PFI.
